Offering a Second Chance

We decided this week would be a great opportunity to give some of our top voted second place winners a second chance at glory! We're looking for the most votes for one of the following restaurants that received second place on each of their respective weeks.

Dempsey's
Just a hop, skip and a jump from UNL's city campus, Dempsey's is located at 12th Street, between P and Q.  Also serving as a bar, Dempsey's is famous for their truffle fries, a nice addition to your speciality burger.  Dempsey’s also accepts Pocket Points, an app giving students rewards for staying off their phones in class.

Ramos

Just off the corner of 48th and Normal Boulevard in Lincoln, sits Ramos pizza. As the home of the pepperoni and cream cheese pizza, should this be chosen as the pizza restaurant next week, that will for sure be on our menu!

Tico’s

Tico's has been a Lincoln establishment since 1976. Along with their amazing dishes, Tico's is also known for their margaritas (a definite must-have). Tico's is located on the corner of 17th and M Streets, just a few blocks south of UNL's City Campus. This is a very affordable option for any type of dining experience, whether lunch, dinner or happy hour.

Amu Manu Ramen Bar

The only item on our list this week that is located downtown, Amu Manu Ramen Bar, is a new edition to Downtown Lincoln. It opened in 2014 and has been a success so far. Rather than offering the typical cheap "college food" that the name "ramen" suggests, Amu Manu creates artwork around the Asian noodles.

Cultiva

With two locations in Lincoln, Cultiva is known for their homemade crepes. At 12th and G and on Holdrege Street, near UNL's East Campus, Cultiva is easily accessible for everyone in the city of Lincoln. Cultiva features reasonable prices and fun foam designs in each cup of coffee.

What's Your Pizza Preference?

It's that time of week again! This week, we are craving some pizza. Lincoln is diverse in it's many pizza choices so it was tough work to narrow it down. However, we've picked our top five pizza joints and want you to decide our final location!  You’ve got only a few days to vote! Scroll to the bottom and pick one!

Yia Yia’s

Located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, Yia Yia's pizzas are made to order with a huge variety of quality ingredients and each slice is served with freshly baked bread. They also proudly serve over 375 different kinds of beer, which is always delicious when paired with a tasty slice of pizza.

daVinci’s

What started in 1978 as a place to bring a family together, daVinci's has five different locations scattered throughout the city of Lincoln. With pizza, hot hoagies and baked pasta, daVinci's has a great variety. We will be taste-testing one of their many pizza flavors on this week's blog, if is chosen!

Lazzari’s

As the home of the "original spicy chicken," Lazzari's pizza is a famous Lincoln staple. With two locations, one downtown at 14th and O and another at 48th and Old Cheney, Lazzari's has made their way across Lincoln to increase diversity.

PieZano’s

A little hole-in-the-wall pizza joint at 33rd and South streets, PieZano's pizza prides themselves on using only the freshest ingredients. They offer many different crust styles, topping options, and specialty pizzas.

Ramos

Just off the corner of 48th and Normal Boulevard in Lincoln, sits Ramos pizza. As the home of the pepperoni and cream cheese pizza, should this be chosen as the pizza restaurant next week, that will for sure be on our menu!
