Jimmy Johns isn't the only sandwich place in Lincoln! Here are a couple great sandwich and lunch stops in this great city. Help us decide which one we should try this week!
Sips & Subs
Tucked away on 33rd and A Streets, Sips & Subs is home to 14 specialty subs. From smoked turkey to french dip to vegetarian to a triple decker club, Sips & Subs variety is sure to please all of their customers. On top of the great variety, the customers also have the opportunity to customize their sandwiches with their choice of bread, veggies, cheese, and sauce.
Doozy's
Living in downtown Lincoln, Doozy's is hidden on 14th Street between O and P. They serve anything from oven baked subs to pizza to salads and more. Their menu items are extremely affordable, even on a tight budget. They were also voted #1 sandwiches in 2010 by The Ground Zero in the Lincoln Journal Star.
Braeda
Braeda sits both on the southeast corner of 48th and O in the heart of Lincoln as well as 33rd and Pioneers, just a little south. Similar to Panera, Braeda features a vast menu of distinctive sandwiches, soups and salads. Braeda prides themselves on being the best in fast-casual dining. Braeda and Runza have the same owners and the same fries, so it's a must visit for Runza fans.
Le Quartier
With two locations in Omaha and one in Lincoln, Le Quartier Bakery & Cafe was started in 2006 as just a bakery. In late 2006, two brothers opened the first storefront and the restaurant has been extremely successful since. A bit more expensive than some other sandwich stops, Le Quartier is unique because they bake all of their breads in-house.
Toast
Located out in Lincoln's Fallbrook community, this restaurant is a slight drive away from campus. However, the quaint atmosphere and friendly service makes it worth the drive. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite to eat or meeting a friend for a long lunch, Toast has all sorts of fantastic sandwiches.
